A Day in the Life...

Yesterday was pretty close to a perfect day.  I accomplished a lot, geeked out, stayed in my pjs, and even got compliments rained on my from my testy mother.

It all started the night before when I had a "Eureka!" moment (at work) about how to fix my closet.  It would get my shirts out of cat hair range, allow for a huge bin of keepsake storage and it would actually work without being super-finicky.  So, yesterday, I fixed it.  And then, since my closet was fixed and my desk had already been organized, I was actually able to pick up everything in my room and put it away!  My room is the best it has looked since we moved into this house at the beginning of the month.

I then proceeded to play hours of Final Fantasy XIII-2, working on my self-given quest to capture every monster that's possible, while working on the second half on Smallville Season 8 on my computer.  The day ended with taking care of the dog (huge brownie points from the 'rents), doing a little bit of pick-up downstairs, reading manga and watching an anime from the 80s.  Yep.  I felt like I spent more than enough time in Geek Heaven while still accomplishing quite a lot.

Today is starting down a similar path.  I had to prep something for the crock-pot, but I also finally took care of last year's FAFSA and am now sitting down, FF on, computer on my knees, ready to go to my geek heaven again.  If only I didn't have to work today...

I really think I need a bit more direction in here.  I pretty much come on here and write whatever the heck I feel like, which is fine, if I'm keeping a journal, but that really wasn't what this was supposed to be.
