I know people talk about how loyal dogs are and how they run up and greet you and how great it is to have a dog, but cats can be just as welcoming and much more calming. Take my cat, today for example. She is very much *my* cat and today I was gone for a fair portion of the day. When I got back from hanging out at the mall with my friend, she would have come directly to me had the dog not jumped in the way. Even so, as soon as I was upstairs (where the dog's not allowed) and stopped moving, she wouldn't stop rubbing against my legs and purring non-stop. A cat's purr is one of the single most calming sensations in the world, between the noise and the vibrations. Yes, I am a cat person.
Moving forward. Today, I'm going to talk about my two new video games.
The first game up for discussion was a game I was looking forward to: Angry Birds Star Wars II. This is the best game of Angry Birds yet. The birds! The pigs! The levels! The goals! I am hopelessly addicted and quite regularly have to go over to where Mom or Dad is to show off the crazy-cool thing this new bird I have does or to point out this or that funny little detail. I especially like how I can play as a pig or a bird for each portion and the little "side quests" like "Do xxx amount of damage with this bird". Even the amount of time I've been playing it, I still have so much else to do that I'm not stressing the few levels too much *wink*
As for the other game... I ate dinner and then hung out around the mall with Lindsey. She wanted to run into Bath and Body Works but since the smells bother me, I told her that I'd run down to GameStop (two stores over) and she could grab me when she was done. So I went in and found a GameStop brand GameCube controller and then decided to browse the games. After picking up and putting down several different games, I walked over the the smelly store and told her she was not allowed to leave me unsupervised in GameStop that long; I'd almost bought a $60 game I couldn't afford. So, what did she do? Egged me on of course. I strode back into GameStop, Lindsey on my heals, telling me to "Do it!" despite my response: "I hate you!" After debating between the used and new copies (only a $5 difference in price) I went up to the counter and purchased a new copy of Tales of Xillia. So far, I've played less than an hour but... Yeah, I think I'll be spending some serious time on this game.
